Michael Roffi built his reputation on Newbury Street the slow way: one haircut at a time, with an obsession for the geometry underneath the style. Precision over trend. Longevity over drama.
He is Ouidad certified — trained in the carve and slice method at the only Ouidad certified salon in Boston — and has spent years learning how curls actually behave, rather than fighting them into submission.
Education drives the work. Michael teaches scissor over comb, razor cutting, and curl shaping to the stylists coming up behind him, because the standard only holds if it’s passed on.

How do I book with Michael?

What is an Ouidad certified curly cut?
Ouidad’s carve and slice method cuts curls individually so they nest into each other, removing bulk without losing shape. Roffi is the only Ouidad certified salon in Boston.
Should I arrive with my hair washed or styled?
Come with your hair the way you normally wear it. For dry and curly cuts, clean, dry, product-free hair is best.
What is the cancellation policy?
We ask for 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or reschedules so the time can be offered to another guest.
