About Me
Five decades behind the chair — and still learning, teaching, taking classes and giving back.
For Michael, education has always driven the work. He is Sassoon-trained, Ouidad-certified, and has pursued advanced cutting techniques through personal training with some of the industry’s most respected educators — including Ouidad Wise, John Sahag and Eiji Yamane in the John Sahag dry-cutting technique, and Nick Arrojo in razor cutting.
Michael is former co-owner of IBIS Hair & Skin Specialists and former owner of ROFFI Salon & Day Spa. Throughout his career, he has remained deeply committed to education — not only continuing his own, but passing that knowledge on to others.
He has taught extensively within his own salons, for leading beauty-industry companies and cosmetology schools. His philosophy is simple: the standard only holds if it is passed on.
Giving back has always been an equally important part of Michael’s career. Over five decades, he has supported the community that has supported him through numerous AIDS and cancer benefits and other charitable efforts.
Today, Michael continues to take classes, teach, mentor and work behind the chair. After five decades in the industry, his greatest pride remains the same: his reputation, his craft, and the people he has had the privilege to educate and serve.

A precision haircut performed on dry hair, allowing me to see how your hair naturally falls, moves and holds its shape. Each section is carefully sculpted to create natural movement , balance, texture and a personalized finish.

Sassoon-inspired haircuts personalized using razor cutting or dry-cutting techniques to create a customized shape with natural movement and texture.
The razor softens lines, removes weight, and creates effortless blended movement. The hair is refined while dry to follow its natural fall.
The result is a polished yet modern haircut that feels light, natural and easy to wear.

Ouidad Cut
1.5 hours · $200-$250
A specialized curly haircut designed to work with your natural curl pattern. The hair is shaped to enhance definition, balance volume and create a beautiful manageable shape while allowing your curls to move naturally.

Razor Cut
1 hour · $125-$200
A precision razor cut designed to create soft, natural texture and movement. The razor technique gives the hair a lightweight effortless shape with blended edges and a modern, lived-in finish.

Before you book
How do I book with Michael?
Appointments are booked online only via salontarget system. For questions, text 855.330.8088 (please do not call the salon).
What is an Ouidad certified curly cut?
Ouidad’s carve and slice method cuts curls individually so they nest into each other, removing bulk without losing shape. Michael is the Top Ouidad certified master in Boston.
Should I arrive with my hair washed or styled?
Come with your hair the way you normally wear it. For dry and curly cuts, clean, dry, product-free hair is best.
What is the cancellation policy?
We ask for 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or reschedules so the time can be offered to another guest.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Cash, Check, Venmo, and Zelle. (Please note: Credit cards are not accepted).
